The Esslingen Technical Academy (TAE) has been one of the first addressed for specialists and managers for more than 55 years when it comes to professional further training and education in the areas of technology and economics.

IFT Rosenheim
The ift Rosenheim is an internationally active scientific service provider for the production of windows, facades, glass, doors, gates and all accessories (fittings, sealings, construction materials, etc.). The ift tests the usability of construction elements and to this end conducts window checks, glass checks, facade checks or construction material checks but also fire protection checks, sound-proofing checks, while checks to other construction elements are also part of the scope of delivery. As a research institution and notified body, the ift is authorised to grant the testing evidence required for the CE label or construction supervision certificates. The range of services, which includes the carrying out of construction materials tests, fire protection tests and glass tests as well as the basis for CE labelling or other certifications, is supplemented by services such as expert reports, seminars and congresses.
IFZ
The IFZ supports the manufacturers of windows, facades and doors in the information of end users, processors, planners as well as specialist trade with objective notifications. The core here is the ifz information, which follows the motto of up-to-date - informative - clear.
VFT – Facade Technology Association
A high level of experience and lots of technical know-how in theory and practice are the requirements that a facade is developed and designed in a qualified way. But this also includes continuous further training, exchange of experience with planner colleagues, contacts with the industry, builders, architects, general contractors, associations and institutes. To meet this requirement for the future, the VFT – Verband für Fassadentechnik e.V. based in Frankfurt am Main was founded in Offenbach in 1992.
The VFT is the merger of free, independent advisers, technicians, engineers and builders in the trade of metal construction –facade technology of the building shell.
They form "orderly members" under association law.
Industry from the trade of metal construction – system houses, sun protection manufacturers, glass industry and other suppliers in facade construction form the group of “supporting members”. For the “orderly members”, it is of huge significance to maintain in contact with the manufacturing industry in order to always offer the state of the art.
An important component is the further training of VFT members.
FLIB - Fachverband Luftdichtheit im Bauwesen e.V.
The Fachverband Luftdichtheit in Bauwesen e. V. [Specialist Association Air Tightness in Construction] – in short FLiB – was established in April 2000 prior to the new energy saving directive that was widely discussed at the time. Since then, it has established itself amongst specialists, in particular, as the central point of contact for questions regarding air-tight building shells.
Thanks to its comprehensive internet database, FLiB has also become a research address for all those who require corresponding services and products.
VCI - Verband der chemischen Industrie e.V.
Verband der Chemischen Industrie e. V. (the German chemical industry association) represents the politico-economic interests of 1,600 German chemical companies and German subsidiaries of foreign enterprises in contacts with politicians, public authorities, other industries, the world of science and the media. VCI represents over 90% of the entire German chemical industry an industry that realised sales € 154,4 billion in 2009 and employed some 430,000 staff.
VILF - Verband der Ingenieure des Lack- und Farbenfaches e.V.
Founded in 1956 the VILF today represents more than 800 employees of the German paint and coatings industry, raw material suppliers, universities and institutes. In the early days the members were graduated engineers from the main German paint schools, who were not represented by the relatively restricted German Chemists association. Still today most of the members are paint engineers, but also many chemists, paint technicians and even commercial employees have joined the VILF. More than 70 companies support the association as company members. In accordance with the statutes the main goal is to improve the technical knowledge of the members by various measures.
